Unit 2: Motion and Forces
Motion is the movement of an object compared to the referance point. The referance point is usualy something that is unmoving compared to the object in motion. The referance point being still is key in finding how far an object has moved. Finding how far an object moved is one of the things you need to know in calculation speed or time. The three speed equasions are D=TS, S=D/T, T=D/S. There is also an equasion to calculate the average speed which is Average speed= Total Distance/ Total Time. When talking about motion there is also velocity. Velocity is the direction that an object is traveling. Something that effects the motion are the forces. The 7 kinds of motion are gravity, buoyant force, air resistance, friction, tension, compression, and applied. These all effect the motion of an object.
